Nashua Prevention Coalition Attends National Coalition Academy

CADCA-logoJanet Valuk, Project Director and Monica Gallant, Project Coordinator of the Nashua Prevention Coalition joined COHORT 20 for the final week of the Community Anti-Drug Coalition’s of America’s (CADCA) National Coalition Academy from July 7–11. This week long training took place at the National Guard Northeast Counterdrug Training Center in Fort Indian Town Gap, PA.

The National Coalition Academy is a comprehensive training program developed by CADCA’s National Coalition Institute and offered without charge through a partnership with the National Guard Bureau at facilities in Pennsylvania, Iowa and Mississippi. Coalitions participating in the Academy learn about creating and maintaining partnerships, sustainability, cultural competency, assessment, prevention planning and implementation and evaluation.

The Nashua Prevention Coalition is currently engaged in the Lock It UP! Campaign and will soon begin working on the Red Ribbon Week Campaign.
